Go back the way you came for about 300yds then fork R to
follow the lane past Wilton Windmill, well worth a visit if you have time.
500 yds past the windmill, turn L onto a track, and in a further 250 yds, turn R onto a footpath that takes you to the track through Bedwyn Brail. After about 500yds, turn L and follow the track in a straight line for 700yds. in the wood, Emerging from the second wooded area, go half right along the larger path to join the K&A canal. Turn L on the towpath for some 800yds until you are almost opposite the Crofton Pumping Engines, then take a FP L along Wilton Water to reach the village.
