The Three Horseshoes Brimpton (4.0m)

Website-on-pub RG7 4TL SU 559646
About eight miles from Newbury via Bury's Bank Road. Turn R up the hill at the end, and keep SO (passing The Travellers Friend) until you arrive.
This pub has now closed. If you cannot use its car park, go back a bit and park in the lane leading to the church.
The nearest pubs for lunch are the Coach and Horses and the Berkshire Arms on the A4 in Midgham, or the Hind's Head in Aldermaston.

Walk back towards Newbury and turn in towards the church, taking the footpath that skirts it. On reaching the open field, walk down the hill for about 400 yds until the track reaches the road. Immediately take another track to the R and follow this close to the River Enborne (it becomes to a footpath) for about 1000 yds. When it reaches a rather posh footbridge with a stile at the entrance, eschew it and follow the river bank to the R on the near side, eventually reaching a gravel lane by a second bridge. Follow this for some 1200 yds to the Newbury-Brimpton road, where you take the footpath across the field opposite the road triangle. On reaching another lane, turn R and follow the track for about 1500 yds to a main road. Go R for 400 yds, then take a track on the L for 400 yds, then R on a footpath which shortly reaches a road. Take another footpath on the L that leads past houses almost to the pub.
