The Three Horseshoes Brimpton (4.0m)
Walk back towards Newbury and turn in towards the church, taking the footpath that skirts it. On reaching
the open field, walk down the hill for about 400 yds until the track reaches the road. Immediately take
another track to the R and follow this close to the River Enborne (it becomes to a footpath) for about
1000 yds. When it reaches a rather posh footbridge with a stile at the entrance, eschew it and follow the
river bank to the R on the near side, eventually reaching a gravel lane by a second bridge. Follow this
for some 1200 yds to the Newbury-Brimpton road, where you take the footpath across the field opposite the
road triangle. On reaching another lane, turn R and follow the track for about 1500 yds to a main road.
Go R for 400 yds, then take a track on the L for 400 yds, then R on a footpath which shortly reaches a
road. Take another footpath on the L that leads past houses almost to the pub.
