The Queens Head Bradfield (3.9m)

Pub-website RG7 6EY SU 597708
About 11 miles from Newbury. Take the A4 to Thatcham, then the road to Upper Bucklebury. Go forward through Chapel Row to Bradfield, where the pub is on the L.
A very welcoming pub that has provided good beer and food, though closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Go a little past the pub and take the L turn. About 300yds down the lane, take a track on the R for another 300yds, and turn R onto a crossing FP. This crosses a metalled lane, and in a further 750yds meets a drive, where go L and R in 100yds onto another FP. On meeting the Bradfield College sports fields, bear L and cross them down to the River Pang. Go R for about 400yds to visit the church, and then return the same way, at first by the river, and then ahead for 800yds as the path leaves the river. Turn R then immediately L, going R again by Bradfield Hall. Then round a right angle bend to the L and up a very steep hill. At the top of this, take a FP on the L that leads under a bridge, and go forward 250yds to a metalled lane. Go half R along a track which is that on which you first left the lane on leaving the pub.
