About fourteen miles from Newbury, take the A339(A34)S, then the A339 towards Basingstoke. In Headley, take the L turning to Ashford Hill and Tadley, where take the A340 for thee miles to reach the pub.
A large pub that regards itself a something of a destination - it has quite a nice garden at the side. The beer is good, and they serve a wide variety of meals and snacks.

Go out of the pub, turn towards Tadley and take the marked FP on the L. Follow this across the field and into a wood. The path shortly comes out in the graveyard of the Priory, and you join the drive and go out onto the road. Turn L past a primary school and follow the road round a sweeping LH bend and take the FP on the R. This stays at the edge of the wood on the R for some 400 yards, then goes into the wood. After about 400 yards more you reach the edge of the wood, but ignore the stile and take the path sharply off to the R. This soon leaves the wood at a stile, when cross the fields passing some riding paddocks to Rawlings Farm. Go through this to a lane, bear R and take the FP off to the L. In 400 yards this meets a lane, which cross taking the FP ahead, which in 1000 yards comes out at the moated Wyeford Farm. Turn R and follow the drive as far as a crossroads on the public road. Turn R for 400 yards to reach the drive of the Priory, whence retrace your steps to the pub.
