The Ibex Chaddleworth (4.2m)

Pub-website RG20 7ER SU 416773
About ten miles from Newbury via the B4494 Wantage road. Two and a half miles after passing under the M4 turn L for Leckhampstead, and then go a further 3 miles SO to Chaddleworth to find the pub.
After being closed for several years, the Ibex reopened in late 2016 as a pub with rooms. The bar has been greatly enlarged, and a range of draught beers, snacks and meals are available. This walk was from the Stag in Leckhampstead, now closed.

Go back towards Newbury for 300yds and turn L into the drive (FP marked). Follow the marked path past Oak Ash Farm, and at the end of the lane, cross the metalled road where it kinks, and keep SO on a footpath in fields. In 1000yds this reaches another lane at Brightwalton Holt. Turn R and follow the track for another 1000yds to Leckhampstead. Go SO on the road, passing the curious war memorial and the Stag, then take the first metalled lane to the R. Where this turn sharply to the R, keep SO, then half R on a FP, and bear L again in 500yds. On reaching a metalled lane, turn R then L at the first track in 150yds. Follow this for 1000yds until it reaches Chaddleworth, where turn R for the pub.
